Introducing an Ambitious U.S. Government Healthcare Project, All of Us

The Problem Space

The National Institutes of Health is creating the largest and most diverse health database in history. The government is recruiting 1 million people to give their DNA, health records and lifestyle information in order to advance heath care. Our job is to communicate what this complex project is and why giving your information to the government is safe and will make the world better.

5th grade reading level to serve low literacy populations. This meant lots of icons, illustrations and simple, friendly copy.

This is not a medical study. It is a database to enable thousands of medical studies. It's a complicated communications challenge.

User experience depends on where you live. Some users will give blood the day they join, and others will share saliva 3 years from now.
